Dove + The CROWN Act
Weβre humbled to have received 2 Cannes Lions + 6 shortlists and 2 D&D Pencils for this work.
INSIGHT
53% of Black mothers whose daughters experienced hair discrimination say they experienced it as early as five. And 86% of Black teens who experienced discrimination endured it by age 12.
IDEA
As Early As Five: visceral film that compels people to support The CROWN Act, a law co-founded by Dove to make race-based hair discrimination illegal in schools and workplaces across the U.S.
WORK
Working into Ogilvy London, my Swift CD partner and I partnered with The Joy Collective to source stories and then collaborated with director, Aisha Ford of Sanctuary Content to bring the stories to life.

RESULTS
100% positive sentiment, but most importantly, people were moved to sign the petition.
The US House of Representatives just passed The CROWN Act on a federal level.
